bumGenius Organic All-In-One Snap Conversion
I answered an ad on Craigslist to convert some bumGenius Organic All-In-One diapers with hook and loop closures to snaps. The woman wanted the wings to overlap like they had with the hook and loop. I studied the tutorial at Kamsnaps.com and came up with this template. I got the idea for the cross snap tabs from the CuddleBuns single-sized diapers I have made for my kids
Because these were not pockets, I could snap through all layers of the front panel. (For those babies with sensitivity to snap caps against their skin, this would not be a good idea.)
I tested the diapers and they have retained their full adjustability...if anything I can get the waist smaller! I would love to read your input.

It Starts with Baby Steps
I was lucky, I had two friends who were cloth diapering when my daughter was born, but I still could not have done it without some great online resources. My favorite in those first few months was Boise Cloth Diapers. It had everything I needed, a glossary for diapering terms that made other blogs read like a foreign language to me, and best of all directions and links for sewing your own! Check it out for yourself.

Free Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover Pattern
(size large, w/topstitching)
It took five hours, but I finally converted my diaper templates into a downloadable pattern. This pattern was designed specifically to be used for a turned & topstitched pocket diaper, but it can easily be adapted to a diaper cover. I will get to the instructions and a tutorial soon, but for now here is the pattern:
size large w/o topstitching
size small w/o topstitching
size medium w/o topstitching
size medium w/topstitching
